School Year and Dental Mission Trip Preparation Trip

This trip to the Dominican was focused on preparing for the new school year and our first dental mission team that was to arrive in December.
The humble home that was to house the dental team needed cleaning, painting and running water. Although we could not get running water, we did get some big blue water barrels. They were to be a life saver when the team arrived.
But, in the midst of all the work – one extremely hot day, I laid my fears aside and ventured out into the dirty river with the children. It was scary and joyful at the same time.
